$1.35M Critical Response Grant Support Announced
For more than 60 years, Foellinger Foundation has invested in excellence by providing grants to strengthen Allen County nonprofits that serve children and families—particularly those with the greatest needs.
The foundation is committing $1.35M in immediate funds to support and strengthen our local nonprofits as they provide crucial services during this global pandemic.
Critical Response Grants strategy recognizes the perspectives of the foundation’s beneficiaries.
“This fluid and flexible approach embodies ‘trust-based philanthropy,’ which has long been a practice of Foellinger Foundation,” said Cheryl Taylor, Foellinger Foundation President.
The Critical Response Grants include four components:
$1.1M in immediate grants committed to community-based organizations already funded, with an appropriate percentage beyond their current annual grant.
$100,000 allocated for invited qualified organizations to apply for Emergency Response Rapid Grants up to $5,000 each to support a variety of needs. Plus, another $100,000 allocated for organizations with a bold and creative idea to address issues surrounding the pandemic to apply for an Innovative Rapid Grant up to $25,000.
Recipients of our Limited Asset Improvement and Capacity Grants may redirect those funds to operations.
Foellinger Foundation is matching the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne’s $50,000 grant to the United Way of Allen County’s Emergency Relief Fund.
Foellinger Foundation will continue to invest in the future for each member of our community.
