We’re all about supporting, strengthening, and inspiring nonprofit leadership in Allen County. When we strengthen nonprofit leaders, we strengthen their abilities to serve our communities. We have a long history of investing in leadership training programs for nonprofit executives, staff, and boards! We continue to adapt and evolve our programming to meet the needs of these leaders.

Current Offerings

Board Leader Fund

The Barbara Burt Innovative Leader Fund provides grants to nonprofit board members for unique learning experiences.

Workshops and Education

We curate workshops and educational opportunities featuring engaging speakers based on the needs of our community’s nonprofit leaders.

Alumni Programming

Alumni of our previous programs are invited to continue collaborative conversations through lunches and other networking events.

David A. Bobilya Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award

The David A. Bobilya Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award recognizes an Allen County board member for their exemplary leadership.

CEO Retreat

CEOs of grantee organizations are invited to a two-day retreat at the Oakwood Resort. This experience will include an engaging learning opportunity with Suzanne Smith, along with time to recharge and connect with peer leaders.

Participation in the CEO Retreat is exclusive to invited attendees. Invitations to come.

Leadership Lab

Leadership Lab was a training program for executive and rising nonprofit leaders in Allen County. Its innovative approach helped nonprofit leaders develop adaptive leadership skills through in-person and out-of-classroom work, plus experiential learning opportunities.

Sonder Fellowship
Sonder Fellowship

The Sonder Fellowship was a leadership training program for BIPOC leaders, by BIPOC leaders, who are living, working, or serving in Southeast Fort Wayne. The program combined individual leadership development with asset-based community development (ABCD) to support opportunities that position the southeast quadrant of Fort Wayne to thrive.
